This summer's beach workout and campout will be at Beverly Beach, just south of Lincoln City, July 11 -13.
Beverly Beach has a large, secluded campground with a nice canopy of trees for all campsites, as well as a very big beach.

All Traditional Taekwon-do Kwan students, parents and friends are welcome to attend.

This year, we will have three contiguous tent campsites and a fourth one a short distance away that allows an RV.  The four campsites can accommodate up to 30 people.

Two of the tent campsites will be available on Friday, July 11 and the other tent site and the RV site will be available on Saturday, July 12. Check in time is 4 p.m. and check out is 1 p.m.

There will be a group workout at 5 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a potluck dinner and campfire, and another workout at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Belmont do-jang will be open Monday

This Monday, January 21, is a national holiday celebrating the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. King engaged in a heroic struggle for peace and justice in America and throughout the world.  His indomitable spirit represents the ideal of a true martial artist.  A martial art trains students in physical self-defense that can at times be brutal, but the underlying philosophy of a good martial art is to resolve conflict peacefully and treat all people equally.

Therefore, in honor of Dr. King, the Belmont do-jang will remain open for all classes on Monday.

Beach Campout and Workout July 15-16

Do taekwon-do in the sun and surf at our annual beach campout and workout. All taekown-do students, friends and family welcome.

We will do a workout Saturday evening at 6 p.m., followed by a potluck dinner, campfire and hot dog/marshmallow roast. Sunday morning, we will do another workout at 11 a.m., followed by brunch. In between, there are plenty of hiking trails to explore Cape Lookout, as well as the other capes west of Tillamook. Cape Lookout is also a short drive to the picturesque town of Oceanside.

In addition to the scheduled workouts, students will be able to train in small groups during the weekend on the beach.  We will be doing work on self-defense moves, joint locks pressure points and takedowns.

We will be staying in Group Campsite A, which has a capacity for 25 overnight campers. (See map on back). IThe group site is now full, but you can stay in one of the individual sites and make your own reservations, stay in a motel in either Netarts or Oceanside, or just drive down for the day.
